From Markdown to an X Article

  1. Open Article Studio. Paste your Markdown, import a file, or choose Example to try the built-in sample.
  2. Attach local images with Images → Choose folder. A browser cannot read image paths in a Markdown file without you selecting the files. You can replace an image or undo a replacement directly in the preview.
  3. Review the preview. Mermaid diagrams become PNG images automatically. Tables can use native formatting or PNG images.
  4. For text, use Copy title and Copy body separately. Copy body includes rich article formatting. Image markers show where images belong; the companion handles their automatic upload and placement.
  5. Install the Article Studio X companion from its Chrome Web Store listing when available. Refresh Article Studio after installation. Clicking the extension's toolbar icon opens the website.
  6. Open X Articles in the same Chrome profile and sign in. Your X account must have access to the Articles editor.
  7. In Article Studio, select Create X draft. Review the title, body, and images in the extension, then confirm Create X draft. Open the resulting draft in X, check it, and publish there when ready.

Common issues

Missing image: select the image's folder or use its Replace control. Obsidian paths are usually relative to the vault or note; selecting the corresponding folder lets the app match them. Clear any wrong replacement before reattaching.

Companion not detected: enable it in chrome://extensions, open md2xarticle.com in the same browser profile, and refresh the page.

X draft failed: confirm that an X Articles tab is open and your account can create Articles. X may change its editor interfaces. If a result is uncertain, check your X drafts before allowing another attempt.

Image or bundle too large: use PNG, JPEG, or WebP files up to 5 MiB each, with at most 40 images and 20 MiB of image data per draft.

Contact support

Use the developer contact or support options on the Chrome Web Store listing. Include your Chrome version and the error message. Share a minimal example without private article content or login credentials.
