Privacy policy
Effective September 15, 2026 · Website and Chrome companion
Article Studio, operated by Geo Qiao, helps you prepare Markdown and create X Article drafts. This policy covers md2xarticle.com and the Article Studio X companion extension.
Your articles and images
The website processes Markdown, titles, file names, images, tables, and diagrams in your browser. Your current document and attached files are saved in local browser storage so you can return to them. They are not uploaded to an Article Studio server.
Choosing “Create X draft” on the website transfers the prepared article and images to the extension's local storage and opens a review page. Only after you confirm “Create X draft” on that review page does the extension send your title, article body, and images to X to create a draft. It does not publish the article. Content you send to X is subject to X's privacy policy.
X authentication and browser access
The extension finds an open X Articles tab and runs its bundled draft creation code there. It reads X's anti-forgery token in that tab and uses your existing X session to authorize requests directly to X. It does not ask for your password, export cookies to the website, or store X credentials in extension storage. Authentication information is used only for your requested X operation.
The store extension operates on md2xarticle.com and the X article editor. It does not record general browsing history, keystrokes, or activity on unrelated websites.
Other network requests
If your Markdown refers to a remote image, the website requests that image directly from its host without credentials or a referrer. That host can see your IP address and the requested URL. You can attach local image files instead.
Cloudflare hosts the website and processes ordinary connection information, such as IP addresses, requested URLs, and browser details, to deliver and protect it. See Cloudflare's privacy policy. Article Studio does not include advertising or analytics tracking.
Retention and deletion
The website keeps the current document locally until you replace it or clear md2xarticle.com site data in your browser. Starting a new document replaces the saved draft; export a copy first if you want to keep it.
The extension keeps staged content locally until you discard it or successfully create its X draft. After success, the article body and image bundle are removed from extension storage; the title, job identifier, timestamps, and result remain to prevent accidental duplicate drafts. Failed or uncertain attempts keep their staged content for recovery until discarded. Uninstalling the extension removes its local storage. Deleting local data does not delete drafts or uploaded media already sent to X; manage those in X.
Limited use and sharing
User data is used only to provide the article preparation and draft creation features described here. We do not sell user data, use it for advertising or credit decisions, or transfer it for unrelated purposes. Transfers to X are initiated by your explicit draft creation action. Article Studio's use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Contact and changes
For privacy questions, use the developer contact or support options on the Article Studio Chrome Web Store listing. If this policy changes, its effective date will be updated here.
